Congratulations to:
Ella Lester and Ava Murphy – The first Carmel students to attend the Aquathon Championship at Saint Kentigern College. With 300 students participating across individual, teams and novice categories, Ella (run) and Ava (swim) placed 5th overall in the U14 team event.
The North Island Championships Rowing Championships were held over the weekend on Lake Karapiro. The squad of 10 rowers left their Y12 camp a night early and travelled back up to compete after already having a busy week away and walking the Tongariro Crossing. Big thank you to Mrs Anna O’Farrell, all the parent support and coach Chris Brake for being with them over this event.

Equestrian Northland Show Jumping – Mia Chubb, Brooke Wilkin, Peyton Bell, Chloe Fulton, all coming away with great rounds at this event in Whangarei. Brooke on Finn won both their classes, Mia on Libby nabbing an 8th & Brooke on Oscar managed a 5th and 6th
Swimming Y7/8 NH Zone Day – Eight Y7/8 swimmers competed in the North Harbour swimming Zone day this week. Congratulations to Ava Pearce who won 2nd in the Year 7 girls 50m freestyle event
Mackenzie Pearce – 9th overall in Junior Girls at the College Sport Auckland Triathlon Championships
Lily Hall – Gold Medal at the New Zealand Junior Beach Volleyball Tour at Mount Maunganui
Sienna Jordan – 2nd place at the College Sport Fleet Racing Regatta in the female 29ers sailing event
Charlotte Henderson – Competed at Senior Surf lifesaving Nationals in Ohope over the weekend and picked up a silver for long course Canoe U19 womens.
