Jasmine Lealaogata (Year 12) presented her winning senior oratory ‘Climate Change’ at assembly this week (pictured above with Sarah Kemble, Principal and the Pompallier Shield cup, donated by Collene Roche, past Carmel Principal).

This is the first time a Carmel student has won this cup since it’s inception in 2009.  The Pompallier Shield is a scripture reading and oratory competition for all 15 Catholic Secondary schools in the Auckland diocese.  This year it was hosted at Pompallier College in Whangarei.
