In the lead-up to ANZAC Day, Year 10 Materials students were challenged to design and hand-sew felt poppies that are neat, unique, and durable enough to be worn or displayed for years to come.
The project focused on building hand stitching skills, with hot glue allowed only at the final stage to attach brooch backings. Students showed great care and creativity, producing thoughtful tributes that reflect both craftsmanship and respect for the ANZAC legacy.
These poppies may be donated, sold, or worn with pride, reminding us all of the enduring significance of remembrance.
The poppies were displayed in our school library.
