Over 14,000 athletes from 431 schools across New Zealand and Pacific Islands competed over the week down at Mount Maunganui, and we couldn’t be prouder of what our Carmel girls achieved in their sports at this event. 

It takes a small village to get our students away to this National event. We can not thank those involved enough. The positive team and Carmel sports culture were evident throughout the week, which is a credit to those behind our athletes

• Football – 10th
• Hockey – 13th
• Netball – 54th
• Waterpolo – 18th
• Rockclimbing – Julitette Goffinet 3rd in Y8 Girls 
• Gymnastics – Tara Young 3rd in Step 4 Beam 
• Canoe Racing – Hanna Dyresen 5th in Y7 girls and 2nd in the mixed relay 
• Swimming – PB’s all round for the 5 girls & Georgia Skinner placed as a Top 10 swimmer in the 200m individual medley event
• Mountain Biking – Sylvie Raistrick 8th in the Endruo event
