AFS Intercultural Programmes New Zealand, in partnership with AFS Türkiye, is offering an incredible opportunity for senior students through the AFS Gallipoli Youth Award 2026.
This prestigious award gives two New Zealand students the chance to take part in a three-week educational and cultural exchange to Türkiye, including attendance at the ANZAC Day service at Gallipoli.
This life-changing experience is more than just travel – it’s a chance to connect with history, honour family legacy, and build lasting international friendships.
To be eligible, students must:
- Be New Zealand citizens or residents
- Be enrolled in Years 11–13 in 2026
- Be descendants of a serviceman involved in the World War I Gallipoli campaign
Thanks to the generous support of AFS Türkiye and the AFS Educational Trust, the participant contribution is only $2,500.
