On Friday evening, Carmel College sparkled with festive magic at our Twilight Christmas by the Lake – Carols and Markets. Perfect weather set the stage for a celebration of community, joy, and Christmas spirit.
The carol singing was enchanting, with choirs and soloists filling the air with festive melodies. Our Christmas market delighted shoppers with unique gifts and treats, while food trucks sold out and picnic tables buzzed with laughter. The Lamb Roast Dinner, hosted in the beautifully renovated Teachers’ Lounge, was a standout — spit-roasted lamb, fresh salads, and homemade rolls paired with wine and conversation earned rave reviews.
Raffles, some of which were worth over $500 in value, added extra excitement, creating plenty of happy winners.
This event was possible thanks to an incredible team effort. While the PTFA devoted countless hours to planning, sourcing and organising, we thank the parents, teachers, and students who stepped up to volunteer and bring it to life. We are especially grateful to students for their generous contributions — hamper baskets, home baking, Joy Jars, prezzies for the lucky dip — your creativity made the markets shine. Donations from a myriad of people across our community also helped us achieve the fundraising targets we had set, ensuring the event was not only joyful but impactful.
The PTFA’s mission is twofold: fundraising and building community. On this night, we achieved both.
Thank you for your support — together, we created not just an event, but a cherished memory that reflects the spirit of Carmel College.
As we close a successful year, we also look forward to 2026 with a renewed passion for service – to our school, and our community. And we hope to do it alongside you.
