Sporting success over the summer holidays

Tessa Clinton – Bronze medal at the Youth Sailing World Championships in Portugal, representing New Zealand.

This is the first time a Kiwi female crew has medalled in this event since 2009. In addition, Tessa and her crew finished 2nd at the Grand Prix International build-up regatta, also held in Portugal. This was a mixed-fleet event, with them racing against both men’s and women’s crews.

 

Lily Hall – Silver medal at the Beach Volleyball U17 Inter-Provincial Championships, representing North Harbour

 

Selafina Lemeki – Silver medal with the Harbour Volleyball U15 team at the Indoor Inter-Provincial Championships

 

Maja Jacob – Competed at the New Zealand ILCA 6 (Laser Sailing) Nationals in the Bay of Islands. Maja placed 21st overall and the 3rd youth/female.

 

Bella Murphy – Selected for the 2026 Netball New Zealand Development Camp held in January. Also placed 2nd with the Auckland Under 17 cricket team, competing at their National Championships in Lincoln.

 

Elyse Llewellin, Alayna Wright-Rawle, Amilia Young & Selafina Lemeki – Placed in the Top 16 at the Beach Volleyball U17 Inter-Provincial Championships, representing North Harbour

 

Beth O’Brien, Molly Smith, Keira Cocks, Bernie Gibson, Isabella Gobbie, Gianna Sandford – Bronze medal at the North Island Rowing Championship at Karepiro over the weekend with the North Shore Rowing Club. Overall, they were in 3x A finals at this event.
