2026 Year 11 Service Trip to Samoa

This trip is an opportunity for our Year 11 students to engage with our wider Mercy community. We will be visiting and supporting our sister schools: St. Joan of Arc Primary School in Upolu and St. Therese’s Primary School in Savai’i. This journey is designed to foster global citizenship, deepen students’ understanding of our Mercy values in a Pacific context, and be a wonderful cultural experience.

Trip Overview & Costs

We have partnered with Defining Moments, specialist educational travel agents, to ensure a safe and well-organised experience.

  • Duration: 5–7 days.
  • Maximum Cost: $5,000 per student.
    • This is an all-inclusive price covering return flights, accommodation, a hired coach, all meals, and comprehensive travel insurance.
    • There will be a payment plan offered.

Information Evening

We understand that an overseas trip is a significant commitment. To provide you with all the necessary details regarding the itinerary, safety protocols, and payment schedules, we will be holding an information evening:

  • Date: Monday, 23rd February
  • Time: 6:30 PM
  • Location: School Staffroom

A representative from Defining Moments will be in attendance to discuss the logistical arrangements and answer any technical questions you may have.

Next Steps: Information Evening RSVP

In the meantime, I attached a video that I’ve also shared with the students on Google Classroom, showing the beautiful schools and accommodation we will be visiting. I encourage you to watch it with your daughter to get a feel for this wonderful opportunity.
