The Year 9s traded the classroom for over the bridge as we embarked on our school Hikoi. It was a chance for us to step back in time and walk the path of the people who built our school community.
Our journey took us to three very different places.
- The Pompallier Centre where we got to see the “behind the scenes” history and some amazing old records of Bishop Pompallier
- The Sisters of Mercy where we visited the Chapel and cemetary, helping us understand the heart and soul of our school’s values
- The Cathedral where we went to midday mass and Father Chris shared with us the connection between the Cathedral and the Sisters of Mercy
It was a great way to bond as Houses and think about how we fit into the story of our school.
