Further to our earlier celebrations of Isla McDougall’s Shakespearean success in the July issue of Channel Magazine, we are delighted to share another exciting milestone in her journey!

Isla, one of our Year 12 students, first impressed judges by winning the Auckland North Region entry in the National Shakespeare Schools Production (NSSP). She has now been selected as a member of the 2027 SGCNZ Young Shakespeare Company — an outstanding achievement that will enable her travel to London to perform at the iconic Globe Theatre, representing New Zealand on an international stage.

This is a remarkable opportunity and a testament to Isla’s talent, dedication and passion for Shakespeare. Performing at the Globe Theatre, a venue steeped in the history of Shakespearean theatre, will be an unforgettable experience.

Please join us in congratulating Isla on this fantastic achievement. We look forward to following her journey as she prepares for this incredible opportunity!
