Orchestra
Saturday 22nd May saw the Carmel Orchestra work with members of the APO (Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra). The morning was spent in sectionals workshopping their Orchestra pieces with Mentors from the APO, then after lunch they had a two hour rehearsal with guest conductor David Kay.
Congratulations to Madeline Xiao who was recently awarded the The F.H Taylor Cup. This is awarded to a young pianist who is the most promising competitor in the North Shore Performing Arts Society season.
