Music Awards – A Wonderful Evening of Celebration

On Wednesday 15th October the Carmel College Music Department gathered for an evening of music, recognition, and celebration at our 2025 Music Awards. It was a truly special occasion that brought together students, staff, families, and friends to honour the incredible musical talent within our school. Ms Fouhy, and Mrs O’Farrell were there to celebrate our students and helped to present the certificates and awards.

The evening showcased a heartfelt vocal performance by Lauren Sargent, singing “Love is a Losing Game” accompanied by Kristen Subere on guitar, as well as an impressive Chamber Ensemble performance by Amber Lee, Helena Lee, and Romy Lee.

A huge congratulations to our special award recipients!

Long Service Awards were presented to students who have been dedicated members of the Carmel Music Department for five years or more. This year, we proudly recognised: Amber Lee, Helena Lee, Anya Poe, Tina Tan, and Ava Waterhouse.

We also celebrated our trophy winners for their exceptional contributions and achievements in music:

  • Outstanding Contribution to Music Cup (Junior): Amelia Devlin
  • Junior Musician Cup: Zoe Gan
  • Liturgical Music Cup: Yoana Ho
  • Chelsea Devine Cup: Amber Lee
  • Senior Musicianship Cup: Romy Lee
  • Outstanding Contribution to Music Cup (Senior): Helena Lee

More than just a celebration of musical achievement, the event was a meaningful opportunity for our students—to come together, uplift one another, and reflect on the power of community and connection through music. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the night, and congratulations to all our performers and award recipients. Your passion and commitment continue to inspire us all.
