Our talented Year 8 students are preparing to take sustainability to the runway with the annual Eco-Fashion Show on Wednesday 17 September, 6.30–8.30 pm in the Carmel College Gym.
As part of their Social Studies sustainability unit, students have been learning about the impact of fashion on the environment and the people who make our clothes. Working in teams, they have designed incredible fashion ensembles by reusing, recycling, or upcycling eco-friendly materials.
On the night, families and friends will enjoy a fabulous showcase of garments across four categories: Book Theme, Red Carpet, Sci-Fi, and Wearable Art. Independent judges will select winners in each category as well as an overall champion, with criteria including design, creativity, use of sustainable materials, and presentation on the runway.
🎟️ Tickets are available now through the Carmel Shop:
-
$5 for adults
-
$2 for students (ages 5–16)
All proceeds will go to the Year 7/8 Sustainability Fund, supporting ongoing learning in this area.
✨ Don’t miss this celebration of creativity, teamwork, and sustainability. Mark your calendars and secure your tickets today!
