The compulsory uniform items for all students are:

• Carmel College blazer
• skirt or shorts
• shirt, long or short sleeves
• black leather shoes or sandals – Terms 1 & 4 ONLY
• Shoes are to be plain black leather lace up

Appropriate examples of shoes: Dr Martens, black lace up ‘sport/ leisure’ shoes like Vans, Air Force Ones

• Sandals are to be plain black and must have a back strap, plain black sole.

Appropriate examples of sandals: black Roman sandals, McKinlay sandals, black Birkenstocks with the back strap 

• black ankle socks or black tights

Note: for formal events like school masses, students are to wear opaque black tights

• Carmel PE top/shorts /leggings are also compulsory for students in Y7 – 10
• cardigan

Optional uniform items are: rain jacket, sun hat, scarf – Terms 2 & 3 ONLY

Please note that full formal uniform will be required for the photo day in Week 2.  This includes a blazer, opaque black tights and black leather shoes.

All students should have a clean, tidy natural appearance.  Hair longer than collar length needs to be tied up while in school uniform.  Makeup is to be natural.

Students may wear:

• one pair of plain silver or gold small studs or earrings in the lower lobe

• a watch and/or medic alert bracelet
• clear nail polish
• hair scrunchies, ribbons in school colours only – navy, light blue, white
• black or brown hair ties only
• Year 13 students may wear one ring.
