Sports Awards

When reflecting on the 2026 sporting year at Carmel, one central theme stands out above all: connection.

This year, our main focus was finding the right balance—combining high-level competition and skill development with the fun, social, and team culture aspects that make sport so special. We want to ensure sport at Carmel offers something for every girl, providing a space where everyone can belong, play, and thrive.

This week, we gathered to celebrate our Year 9–13 students’ outstanding successes at our annual Sports Awards. The sense of community and connection was truly evident throughout the hall as we recognised the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of our athletes.

To our coaches, managers, parents, and supporters: this success is all because of you. Our girls simply could not take the court, field, or pool without the village standing behind them – from last-minute van drivers to those prepping dinners for teams away on tournament weeks. Every hour you give makes an enormous difference, and we are deeply grateful for your support.

To our graduating Year 13 students, we extend our biggest thank you. Whether leading our Premier teams, turning out for Saturday morning social games, or giving back as student coaches, you have been exceptional role models. We hope you continue to play for your own “why” and hold onto a lifelong love for sport!
