Year 12 World Religions Trip

On Tuesday, 20th October, the Year 12 students went on an adventure to visit the Tibetan Karma Choeling Buddhist Monastery, the Ponsonby (Al-Masjid Al-Jamie) Mosque and our own Cathedral of St Patrick and St Joseph. The purpose was to connect our shared similarities and learn where we differ in our religious and faith beliefs. Most importantly, it was about the importance of respect, tolerance and living our common belief in “love of our neighbour”. The Carmel girls who attended this trip were a delight. They were a beautiful representation of our College values and community. Our sincere thanks to the Religious Studies teachers who attended and our Head of Department, Katie Pidgeon, for making this trip a possibility and a success.
