Carmel College fielded teams in two Chess competitions recently. Two teams of Year 7/8 students took part in the North Shore Intermediate Competition and one team of students from Year 7-9 took part in the Secondary Schools’ Competition. Although the teams didn’t place, the girls represented Carmel well, demonstrating good sportsmanship and strength of character. This is the first year Carmel has sent a team to the Secondary Competition.
