On Friday the 24th of October, the Year 10 students took part in a Kī O Rahi tournament. Kī O Rahi is a traditional Māori ball game that combines running, throwing, and tagging, played on a circular field with marked zones. The game encourages teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship, making it both fun and physically engaging.
The tournament concluded with a thrilling final match between 10C and 10U, where both teams showed incredible effort, skill, and determination. However, after an intense game, 10C came out on top, finishing the tournament with a well-deserved win.
A big congratulations to 10E, who also won the Respect award for the tournament.
Everyone displayed fantastic enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the event with plenty of cheering and encouragement from the sidelines. Overall, it was a fun and active way to finish the week and bring our year group together.
A big thank you to the teachers and staff who helped organise and support the event, it was an awesome experience for everyone involved.
