Care Packages for De Paul House

Throughout Term 2, the Young Vinnies have been learning about Food Insecurity and how it can affect the people in our community. In response to this, we created our own Care Packages to be distributed to 10 units in De Paul House. Each group of girls was given a unit number with details of the members living within it, which allowed us to plan and bring in items suitable for them. We were able to produce two packages per unit containing food, hygiene products, basic needs and toys.  Each was unique to the people in the unit. This project enabled us to act on the issues we have been learning about and actually make a difference in these people’s lives.
