L3 Health Education Health Practices Conference

Last week, the Level 3 Health Education students had an exciting opportunity to attend a Health Practices conference at Westlake Girls’ High School.  This event allowed them to collaborate with students from other schools while experiencing different Health Practices aimed at the treatment/management and prevention of stress.

The conference featured informative sessions, workshops and hands-on activities, covering topics like physiotherapy, General medical practice, Reiki, Reflexology, Naturopathy and Raonga Maori Medicine.  Guest speakers from our local community shared valuable insights, while interactive simulations allowed students to apply their knowledge practically.

The girls returned with a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm, ready to start to work on their L3 NCEA assessment for Health Education.  Their experience at the conference was enjoyed by all and we thank Westlake Girls’ High School for hosting the annual event, and Michaela Wood from our parent community who presented the GP session.
