PTFA Christmas Market – Can You Help?

Dust off your Santa hats, start feeling that festive spirit and make sure you save the date for our first ever “Carmel Christmas Market by the Lake” on Saturday 19 November from 10.00am-3.00pm.

This special outdoor fundraising event will bring together a wonderful selection of gift stalls, artists, food trucks and music for the community to enjoy in the run up to Christmas.

Why is this event important to the school?

Next year a fixed covering is being installed across the top court.  As well as this providing much needed shelter for lunchtimes and bus lines, it will also create a large space for outdoor learning as well as help host special events such as Culture Day.

To help, the PTFA would like to contribute to the funding for the furnishings and landscaping needed to create this exciting new open air, year-round, recreational area for the girls.

What can you do to help?

Firstly, word of mouth will help us advertise the event (especially through social media) and get a good crowd there on the day.  Please follow our Carmel Facebook or PTFA Instagram accounts and then like/share the Christmas Market posts in the coming weeks.

Secondly, we will need extra help with the preparation in the days before as well as on the day itself, so please click on the link to the goggle form below and to let us know what areas you can assist with.

We also want to fundraise with help from our students too:

  • Year 7 – Class Christmas Tree Decorating Competition
  • Year 8 – Joy Jars
  • Year 9&10 – Home Baking
  • Year 11-13 Donations for Quick Fire Raffle Hampers.

More information on this will be sent out at the start of Term 4, so please keep an eye out.

There will also be a Sausage Sizzle, Candy Floss on offer, Face Painting, and a pre-ticketed Champagne Terrace to experience too!

We have around 50 vendors attending to date, including some parents from our community.  If you have a gift/craft/food business or are an artist and interested in being there too, please let the PTFA know by emailing us by 30 September ptfa@carmel.school.nz
