School Sport Reminder Re Absences – IMPORTANT!!
It’s great to have winter sport up and running in 2022 and fantastic to see so many girls back involved in sport. We are struggling a little bit for numbers and to make up teams with the constant presence of Covid and other winter ailments starting to hit our sports, however, we are incredibly fortunate to have so many students willing and able to assist as required to ensure we can continue to field teams.
This is just a timely reminder that if your daughter is ill and away from school on the day of their game, that they do not make themselves available for school sports games or trainings after school hours. We are trying to minimise the ongoing impact of Covid in the school environment and we ask that you keep your daughter home if she is unwell or displaying Covid symptoms.
Please also notify the coach or manager at the same time as you call the school about your daughter’s absence to allow them time to find replacement players. We have asked coaches not to play students who are absent from school on game days.
The general rule is that if you are absent from school you cannot represent the school in sport that day unless you’re able to provide a valid reason to the school for being absent.
Thank you for working with us and hopefully we can continue to play a full season of winter sport.
