On Wednesday, the 11th March, the school community came together at the Carmel College Scholars Assembly. This event recognises the outstanding academic achievement of our 2025 senior students.
Every year our students achieve outstanding outcomes, but last year’s results were truly exceptional. In 2025, 99% of our Year 12 students achieved NCEA Level 2, 95% of our Year 13 students achieved NCEA Level 3, and 92% gained University Entrance. These results are significantly above the national averages and are something we should all be incredibly proud of.
We awarded the Excellence Endorsement certificate to all the Level 2 students who achieved NCEA Level 2 at Excellence and named our top scholars for Years 11, 12 and 13. Top Scholars from Year 11 & 12 in 2025 were presented with a certificate and a Top Scholars badge, and Y13 students from 2025 were recognised with a certificate.
We also took this opportunity to recognise the students who achieved an NZ scholarship in last year’s NZQA examinations.
We want to thank the families of the students who were able to be part of this celebration, and to our Year 13’s from 2025 who were able to be at the assembly, managing to fit this into their University studies.
The following week, NCEA Level 2 Merit Endorsement certificates were presented in the house assemblies.
