On Thursday, 31 July the Level 2 Sport Science students (and one Level 3 student) took part in the Event Promotions Tough Guy/Girl Secondary Schools Challenge at Kumeu Showgrounds. Students had studied the ‘science’ of training in Term 3 and used their knowledge to effectively train for the 6km event.
Congratulations to the following students for their achievement on the day:
- Seanna Watson: 1st female (30:28)
- Aimee McGivern: 6th female (34:08)
- Samantha Dunn: 10th female (34:39)
- Madelyn Mays: 11th female (34:45)
Carmel College was also awarded the “Toughest School- Female” award for the school’s top 3 finishers.
