Year 12 Drama Production – come and see this hilarious comedy

The Year 12 Drama production ‘Drop Dead’, by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore, is coming up! ‘Drop Dead’ is the story of a group of washed-up actors who work together to produce a murder mystery in a last-ditch attempt to revitalize their careers. The play within the play is directed by the eccentric, ego-driven Victor Le Pewe. Victor enlists the help of former television star Mona Monet, by-the-book actor Brent Reynolds, 91-year-old blind actress Constance Crawford, overzealous newcomer Chaz Looney, the moustached Dick Scosese and ex-dancer Candy Apples to make the production a success.

But, as the cast readies for the murder mystery, they find themselves engrossed in a real mystery as cast members are killed off one at a time during rehearsal.

The Year 12 Drama Class will be performing this hilarious comedy in the Carmel College Theatre at 5:00pm on Sunday 30th May and at 6:30pm on Monday 31st May, Wednesday 2nd June and Thursday 3rd June.  Please email 16092@carmel.school.nz to reserve tickets, they are $5 and are to be paid in advance or at the door.
