A record-breaking 14,506 entries from 467 schools across New Zealand and internationally competed down at Mount Maunganui across 27 sporting codes over the week!

We couldn’t be prouder of what our Carmel girls achieved in their respective sports at this incredible event. Below is just a snapshot of their results:

Water Polo – 5th Place

Basketball – 9th Place

Netball – 45th Place

Gymnastics

• Tara Young (Step 5) – 1st in Beam & Floor, 3rd in Bar, 2nd Overall
• Lydia Whittaker (Step 7) – 2nd in Vault, 3rd in Floor, 4th in Bar & Beam, 3rd Overall
• Isla McQueen (Step 6) – 3rd in Beam, 5th in Bar

Canoe Racing

• Mila Mitchell (Y7) – 7th in Y7, 2nd in the mixed relay
• Hanna Dyresen (Y8) – 14th in Y8, 2nd in the mixed relay

Tennis

• Chloe Xiang – 4th in Division 2

Swimming

• Personal Bests all round for our team of 7 girls

It takes a small village to get our students away to this national event, and we cannot thank everyone involved enough. The positive team spirit and strong Carmel sports connection was evident throughout the week, a true credit to all the supporters, management, and families behind our athletes!
