Year 11 Materials Technology was given the task to create a bag inspired by a story that would meet their brief. Students could choose to create a bag for themselves or for someone else. These bags needed to include two different decorative techniques, such as quilting or free machine embroidery. They also needed to represent manaakitanga or kaitiakitanga in some way. The final results included bags for books, surf boards, tap shoes, laptops, flutes and exam supplies.
