Year 13 Drama Presents: Drop Dead

Carmel College’s Year 13 Drama students are proud to present this year’s senior production, Drop Dead, coming to the Carmel Theatre at the end of May.

Written by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore, Drop Dead is a fast-paced comedy-mystery that promises plenty of laughs, unexpected twists, and dramatic chaos. The story follows a group of actors attempting to stage a production under the direction of the eccentric Victor Le Pewe—however, from the very first rehearsal, everything that can go wrong, does go wrong.

Blending outrageous humour with a classic whodunnit, the play takes the audience behind the scenes of a theatre production, from dress rehearsal through to opening night… or at least for those who make it that far. With romantic entanglements, dramatic mishaps, and a series of mysterious events, Drop Dead will keep audiences both laughing and guessing until the very end.

Our talented Year 13 students have been working hard to bring this entertaining and high-energy performance to life, and we warmly invite our school community to come along and support them.
