Are you turning 14 this year or older? Looking for a way to push your limits, give back to the community, and gain internationally recognised achievement?

We are thrilled to announce that this year we will be running the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Pilot Award, tailored especially for our Year 10 students!

What is the Duke of Ed?

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a global program that empowers young people to learn new skills, stay active, and make a real difference. It’s a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself and build confidence along the way.

What’s Involved?

• Time Commitment: A minimum of 13 weeks.
• Three Core Focus Areas:
  •  Physical Activity: Pushing your personal fitness goals.
  •  Service: Volunteering and giving back to your community.
  •  Skill: Developing a new talent or refining an existing one.
• Adventurous Journey: Great news! Your Year 10 Camp will count directly towards the Adventurous Journey component of the award.
• Ongoing Support: You won’t be doing this alone. Participants will meet once a month as a group to track progress, share wins, and stay on target—mentored by Mrs. Peek as your Duke of Edinburgh Assessor.

Key Details:

• Eligibility: Anyone turning 14 this year or older (pitched at Year 10).
• Cost: $100 registration fee.

To gauge interest and answer any questions, we will be holding two information sessions:

• Session 1: Wednesday, 29th July (Interval) — Room 30
• Session 2: Tuesday, 4th August (Interval) — Room 30
