We are pleased to confirm that an Auckland Regional Dental Service (ARDS) Mobile Dental Unit will soon be visiting Carmel College to provide dental care for Year 7 and 8 students.
ARDS plans to visit during Weeks 3–5 of Term 3.
A priority booking model will be used to offer dental appointments. Priority will be given to:
- Students who have been waiting the longest for a dental examination (most overdue)
- Students where the need for dental treatment has previously been identified
- Students who may be experiencing dental pain
- Students who are identified as having higher dental needs
Parents and caregivers of students on the initial ARDS priority list will be contacted by phone or email to advise them of ARDS’s intention to see their child and to obtain consent prior to the appointment.
If you have not been notified that your Year 7 or 8 child is scheduled to be seen, but they are experiencing dental pain or you have concerns about their oral health, please phone (09) 444 6160 to speak with a member of the dental team.
