“You think this is hard?! Wait til they’re teenagers!” | “You know teenagers don’t have access to much of their brains!” | “Literally ALL DAY on her screen!”
Does this sound familiar?
Are you in the trenches already with a teen or two of your own? Or maybe anxiously hurtling towards it with your precious pre-teen?
The teen years get a bad rap, and sometimes understandably so. It’s a season of exploration, of growing autonomy and unique brain development, with a few additional challenges – like peer pressure, acne and self-consciousness as a full-time job. Now add a sprinkle (or a double shot) of social media, and we have a recipe for disaster, both for your teens themselves and parents trying valiantly to cope.
But there really is another way – to think about teenagers, live with teenagers, love them, connect with them, enjoy them – and, dare I say it, get them (within reason) to do what you say!
If you’re keen to know more, please come along to this course which will arm you with parenting techniques that will help you stay calm in the middle of even the most chaotic days. Learn how to reduce stress, improve family relationships and create deep, lasting connections with your daughter.
As a school community we encourage you to consider this opportunity. We have been looking for providers to support our young woman and this is an ideal opportunity to assist you, parents and caregivers in navigating the teenage years and assisting your daughter to balance the demands this brings.
