Harbour Hospice representatives, Vicki Parker, Julie Reid and Claire Fransen came along to visit Carmel service students involved in making heart cushions for Hospice.  They were fortunate to hear from Claire, the massage therapist, how grateful patients are for receiving such beautiful cushions.  The students in this service group are Chazz Legaspi, Analise Collis, Genevieve Lai, Leilani Moce, Hanna Bosley, Janine Orjalo, Caitlyn Cooper and Amy O’Neill.

Since the beginning of last year, Emily Ma, Year 13, has volunteered at the Milford Hospice Shop every Saturday morning from 9-12 am. This involves working at the cash register and sorting second hand items. Emily enjoys interacting with the customers. ‘’I value this volunteer work because I am aware that it is sustainable and great for the local Milford community’’. Emily will continue to volunteer at the hospice every week.
