Junior Football

Congratulations to our Junior A Football team, finishing second in the 2025 Premier Auckland Junior grade. This is a remarkable achievement for this team, predominantly made up of Y8 and Y9 players, to fight off teams of Y9/10s. The road to get to the final for Carmel wasn’t easy, taking on schools such as Macleans, St Kent’s and last week’s triumph against MAGS.
Unfortunately this year it wasn’t meant to be, but this doesn’t take away from their hard work and dedication towards getting to this final and beating some of the biggest teams in Auckland.

Congratulations to:

  • Ella Henderson, named in the North Harbour Rugby team to compete in the 2025 Farah Palmer Cup (FPC). The Farah Palmer Cup, is the highest level domestic women’s rugby union competition in New Zealand and this is Ella’s 2nd year in the team.
  • Nadja McGoon, named in the Future Black Sticks Women’s squad selected to attend the upcoming 2025 FBS Super Camp. The FBS programme identifies athletes who show the skill, game sense, and character to progress through Hockey New Zealand’s high performance pathway.
