Year 7 & 8 School Based Immunisation Programme 2020

The School Based Immunisation Programme (SBIP) will be offering Boostrix vaccine ( dTap) to year 7 students. This vaccine is a booster of diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough most children received last as pre-schoolers.

SBIP will be offering Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine to Year 8 students. This is a two dose vaccine programme with a 6 month gap between doses.

Your child’s school will provide some information to us such as your child’s name, room number, and date of birth, address and ethnicity to help with the administration of the immunisation programs. Should you wish for this not to happen please notify the school.

There will be an information talk in the theatre at Carmel College on Monday 17 February for Year 7 and 8 students and parents/caregivers are welcome to attend.  The talks are 20 minutes for each year level, starting with Year 7 at 1.35pm.

Information on the vaccine and consent form will be sent home with your child  following the education session.  Please complete the form and return to the school.
