🎄🎁Years 11-13 : It’s Hamper Time! Let the Christmas Market Hamper House Challenge Begin! 🎁🎄

Calling all Year 11, 12, and 13 students to bring the festive spirit to life at Twilight Christmas by the Lake – Carols and Markets this November – a PTFA run event… and we’re doing it the Carmel way: with House pride, creativity, and a dash of competitive flair! 

Each Carmel House is challenged to create at least one stunning hamper basket filled with a minimum of 12 donated items (yes, the basket counts!). These will be raffled at the Christmas Market, and every hamper earns House Points!!!

🎯 Your Mission:

  • Rally your Year 11–13 troops.
  • Choose a hamper theme (or go wild with your own!).
  • Collect and donate items.
  • Build a hamper that dazzles.

💡Hamper Theme Ideas to Spark Your Imagination:

  • Gourmet Foodie Delight: Think gourmet pickles, olives, crackers, nuts, and other fancy treats.
  • Beauty Bliss: Cleanser, toner, makeup, and pampering essentials.
  • Grown-Up Bathroom Luxury: Plush towels, bath bombs, soaps, and spa vibes.
  • Epic Kid’s Bathtime: Bubbles, hooded towels, bath toys – adorable and fun!
  • Budding Baker’s Kit: Cookie cutters, recipe books, measuring spoons, sprinkles, and more.
  • Creative Genius Pack: Art supplies, sketchbooks, craft kits – unleash the imagination!
  • Sports Fanatic’s Dream: Water bottles, sports socks, mini balls, sweatbands, protein snacks, vouchers for local sports stores – you name it!

🥇House Points Ranking System

Each House will be ranked based on:

  1. Number of hampers submitted by the house – multiple hampers boost the score
  2. Theme Execution – how well the items reflect and enhance the chosen theme for each basket (you can name the Hamper and add the age group it is meant for (e.g. Budding Baker – yrs 10 – 18 or Bath Bliss – 12+)
  3. Presentation & Creativity – visual appeal, arrangement, and festive flair.

  1. 1st Place – 50 points
  2. 2nd Place – 45 points
  3. 3rd Place – 40 points
  4. 4th Place – 35 points
  5. 5th Place – 30 points
  6. 6th Place – 25 points
