Our inaugural September Fundraising Calendar has been a tremendous success, and we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported it.
From families purchasing tickets and students enthusiastically selling them, to the many local businesses and members of the Carmel Community that generously donated prizes, this truly was a community effort. The support received exceeded our expectations and is a wonderful reflection of the generosity and spirit of the Carmel community.
The funds raised will support the PTFA’s work across the school, including the Sr Mary Justine Scholarships, which recognise students for leadership, creativity, service, resilience, and contribution to the community. Funds will also contribute towards future projects that enhance the student experience, including the development of an outdoor activities area for our girls.
Congratulations to Our Top Sellers
A special congratulations to Gigi Albrecht (Year 13), who was our highest-selling student and winner of the Top Seller Prize. Gigi’s enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment to the fundraiser were outstanding, and her efforts played a significant role in the success of the calendar.
We would also like to recognise Francheska Montellano (Year 9) and Nadia Barreto (Year 7), who were our second and third highest sellers, respectively. Their willingness to get behind the fundraiser and champion it within our community was greatly appreciated, and we thank them for their fantastic support.
Together, these students exemplified the Carmel spirit of initiative, community, and service, and we are incredibly grateful for their contribution.
Thirty Days of Winners
One of the unexpected highlights of the calendar has been the daily prize draws themselves.
As we go through September, a member of the PTFA has had the pleasure of contacting the lucky winner of that day’s draw with the news that they have won a prize. The excitement, surprise, and delight on the other end of the phone brings tremendous joy to us!
With every ticket remaining in the draw for the entire month, participants enjoy thirty opportunities to win, making the calendar an exciting fundraiser from beginning to end.
