Library News – Writing Competition and More

Lockdown Level 3 (take 2) came upon us so suddenly that we sadly had no time to stock you up with books.

We didn’t even have time to turn off our overdue notices. Please don’t worry about this at the moment, hold onto your books until we’re safely back at school.

AUCKLAND LIBRARIES EBOOKS:

https://www.aucklandlibraries.govt.nz/ has a great range of eBooks to borrow for free. Try it out! Many of you did in the last Lockdown. It’s a great extension to our own collection here at Carmel.

DID YOU KNOW:

Our lovely library is called the Sister Monica Costello Library? Sister Monica was the teacher and Principal who set up the first very small room of books here at Carmel. You all sang Happy Birthday to Sister Monica on Carmel Day 2020.

The Carmel website has links to the library under the Student Life menu – click HERE

You can login to the library using your ID number and password to manage your borrowing e.g. reserve a book, check what you’ve read, see when books are due etc.

FOR OUR WRITERS OUT THERE:
