Through the Passionate Enhanced Learning (PEL) programme at Carmel, I was able to discover the opportunity to enter the Case Writing competition for the Ethics Olympiad.  I submitted a piece on the ethics of compulsory national service and won the Humanity Matters prize for a New Zealand school.

I am extremely grateful for the presence of a platform where I can find ways to challenge myself and I look forward to participating in subsequent events so that I can test my academic, as well as non-academic, rigour.
